I spent a weekend in gorgeous Bendigo recently, as I had a function I was attending in the evening and The Captain and I decided to stay overnight. I love Bendigo as it has so much going for it as a city. Aside from the pretty streetscapes and grand architecture it is also a thriving centre for arts and culture. A trip to Bendigo is never complete without a visit to the Bendigo Art Gallery. There is always, and I mean always, a fantastic exhibition to see whenever you are there – and the ...
A Winter of Boots
I love boots, especially long boots. If you live on the goldfields and your winter wardrobe does not include long winter boots then I must sadly inform you that you are DOING IT WRONG!!! The best thing about living somewhere that has such distinct seasons is the fact that we have a real winter and the need for a proper winter wardrobe. Boots are an essential item to this! I recently spotted an advertisement for Sydney tourism, which pictured a model in a summer dress with spaghetti straps, ...
The Surprise Baby Shower – AFE Foundation Fundraiser
On the weekend my beautiful sister FindingFemme (pictured above) threw me a surprise baby shower. I had not intended on having a baby shower as our house is in the middle of renovations and we are currently living without a kitchen or living room. ...
Sunset And A Scarf
I love a good scarf. They are like as warm comfy friend in the winter time. This gorgeous find has become my winter favourite. My outfit today is very simple - plain black top and jeans. The beauty of a scarf is ...
Winter Walk
This evening FindingFemme and I went for a short stroll around the lake. The leaves on the trees have turned a beautiful yellow and the sky is clear for some amazing sunsets. The weather is still mild during the day, but in the evening it becomes very cold. I love winter time and I love being able to get out my long winter coats and boots. I think anyone who lives in the Goldfields needs to have an extra large wardrobe, as we really need lots of clothes for such distinct seasons. Winter ...
Casual Sunday
Today was a pretty special day. We officially made our first purchase for baby! After we bought the baby car seat the shop assistant asked if we were madly getting everything together for the birth and was a little surprised when we told him it was the first thing we've bought. I guess we're just really relaxed. There are enough things to stress about when expecting a baby without worrying about the things that are in your control. We'll get everything we need in time; we don't need to pressure ...
