Newborn stage is HARD whether it's number 1 or number 4. You're still sleep deprived, hormonal, have a baby thats learning to feed and is completely dependent on you, all while you're recovering from birth. Admittedly it's easier (a little) this time since I know what to expect and have more experience, making me wish I’d been kinder to myself each time before.

The most difficult thing this time was that Roo started prep our second week at home. When you’re up all night and finally get to sleep its tough being woken to an alarm clock or worse being woken for a feed an hour before the alarm!! It’s also impossible to have a day nap when I have other small children who cant be left unsupervised or don’t nap at the same time. 😴

Finally though I'm no longer embarrassed about the state of our house or giving visitors a job when they ask if they can help. When neighbours popped over recently not only did I NOT apologise for the mess, before they'd left I had them nursing baby, reading Roo his school reader, and even vacuum the rug, and guess what??!! Accepting and asking for help didn’t scare them off!! Only days later they turned up with both cooked and frozen meals and fresh produce from their garden. It just shows people really are happy to help and the best thing you can do if they offer is accept it instead of saying everything is fine!. I just wish I'd been better at it all the times before, so learn from me and say yes when people offer! ✔️💕

It was probably a little crazy to attempt a family

It was probably a little crazy to attempt a family night out with a tiny baby and running on sleep deprivation but wowza, to see the smile on these kids faces at the @sesamestreetcircusspectacular was worth all the effort. Yes I totally forgot to get photos with Big Bird and Cookie Monster 🤦and our 3yo decided he wanted to run off before I got to see the show but we had lots of fun! 🎪

The ✌️ big reasons we made the decision to go were:

1. The kids havn't been to any fun events since before Covid and you could tell just by how excited they were and how much they've talked about it since.🎉

2. We also wanted to support the event because we know performers have had no work for the last 12 months and the entertainment industry needs our support more than ever.💕

Am I tired? Heck yes! Did my son have a ball and ask every 5 minutes since daybreak if we could go again? Also yes! Is it likely I'll be hauling his sweet little tootsie back to the big tent before the end of the month? Quite possibly!

The @sesamestreetcircusspectacular is in town for the next couple of weeks but tickets are selling fast due to restricted numbers. 🎪

Beach Babes! 🌞 🐳The kids love the beach so much but it's kinda daunting thinking about going with 4 kids. With a long weekend coming up I know its gonna be a requested activity. Any tips on how to survive with a newborn?! I've seen a few hacks where people take a little paddle pool for on the beach. I've also seen some people take tents over umbrellas... ⛱️ Any hacks I need to know? Ive got 4 kids all aged 5 and under 😅..

I love fancy crockery but with kids it's not practical so I love that @potterybarnkidsaus have these pretty Peter Rabbit melamine plates. They're so sturdy and just as pretty as some of the other crockery in their Easter collection. I was able to style a pretty Easter look just by adding the plates in with tablescape items I already have at home. 🐰🐰

🍹I think I'd do the long drive to @visitwangaratta just for these cocktails. A long drive is usually a sure way to guarantee the kids all sleep at the same time! These beautiful beverages at @dock.5 were all non alcoholic and almost too pretty to drink.. almost! Just another one of the fab locations we visited on our recent trip (gifted by @quest.wangaratta )

I love a good non-alcoholic cocktail, especially when they come as pretty as this. It's so fab seeing venues really start accommodating those of us who choose to go alcohol free. Anyone else alcohol free this summer? What's your favourite venue for virgin cocktails?
